A SUSPECTED arson attack in Winsford saw nine wheelie bins ‘deliberately’ set alight in a single incident.
One fire engine from Winsford responded to a call to Dee Way, Wharton, at 9.53pm on Sunday, October 13.
Firefighters used a hose to tackle the blaze.
A spate of similar fires in the area last year led to a Cheshire Police dispersal order being brought into force and police patrols significantly stepped up in the area.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue service said: “A crew attended Dee Way in Winsford at 9.53pm on Sunday, October 13.
"Nine wheelie bins were on fire, suspected to have been started deliberately.
“The fire was extinguished using a hose reel jet."
