POLICE and an air ambulance were called as a man collapsed and died.
A large emergency service presence was called to Winsford on Monday evening (September 16) following reports that a man had collapsed.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
While police say it is not believed to be suspicious, a case file is being prepared for the coroner.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Shortly after 5.10pm on Monday, police were called to reports that a man had collapsed at an address in Winsford.
“Police and paramedics attended the property, including air ambulance, but sadly despite the efforts of all those involved the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“His death is not believed to be suspicious and a case file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Winsford residents reported seeing the air ambulance land on a field by St John's Drive.
North West Ambulance Service has been contacted for further information.
