POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after an assault in a Winsford pub toilet left another man with a fractured eye socket.

The assault happened at the Hive pub and music venue in Winsford on Friday, May 31.

A 31-year-old man, who was at the pub with friends, was attacked by an unknown assailant who punched him in the face as he was leaving the toilet.

The victim suffered multiple fractures to his cheek and eye socket as a result of the incident.

Enquiries in relation to the incident have been ongoing, and investigating officers have released a CCTV image of a man they are keen to identify.

In June, police released a CCTV image of a man in relation to the incident, which resulted in a man coming forward.

Detective Constable Kelly Mitchell, of Northwich CID, said: “The victim in this case sustained serious injuries, so we are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the incident itself take place, or has any information that may aid our investigation.

“We would also like to directly appeal to the man in the CCTV images, as we believe he may have vital information which may aid us in our enquiries.”
