FIREFIGHTERS tackled a ‘deliberate’ fire in an old farmhouse.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to Winsford on Thursday afternoon (August 29) amid a suspected arson incident.
It is the second time in a week that the fire service has been called to reports of a fire at a disused building on Rilshaw Lane.
Three engines, from Chester, Middlewich and Winsford, arrive at the scene shortly after 1pm.
They were joined by the aerial ladder platform from Chester.
“Deliberate ignition is suspected as the cause of a fire in a disused farmhouse on Rilshaw Lane,” said a CFRS spokesperson.
“Firefighters were at the scene for almost two and a half hours tackling the small seats of fire set on the first floor of the property.”
