POLICE seized illegal drugs and an XL Bully during a raid.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested after Winsford BEAT officers conducted a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act on Thursday morning (August 22).
A quantity of class A and B drugs, namely cocaine and cannabis, was found at the address on Severn Walk and have been seized for destruction.
While at the address, officers also found an unregistered XL Bully dog in the kitchen.
The owner agreed to voluntarily hand the dog over and this has now been seized with the assistance of Cheshire Police dog handlers.
Meanwhile, a referral has been made to Social Services as there were young children at the address where illegal drugs and unregistered dog were being kept.
Police say the drugs were ‘within easy reach’ of the children and could have caused serious illness or death if consumed.
Anyone with information about illegal activity in their area is urged to report it to Cheshire Police by calling 101 or via the Cheshire Police website.
Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously or dial 999 in the case of an emergency.
