A 'CARELESS' teenage driver has been banned from the roads after running a red light and taking corners at high speed in Winsford.
Jack Rawlinson, of Nixon Drive, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on August 6 charged with three motoring offences.
The 19-year-old was driving a Ford Focus around the town on June 30 earlier this year when the offences took place.
The court heard Rawlinson went through a red a light and drove 'far in excess of the 30mph speed limit'.
Driving in a loop, he was seen 'taking corners at high speed, failing to maintain lane discipline as he did so'.
And finally, before being stopped by police, Rawlinson did not slow down when he approached a roundabout, going straight over without allowing any time to look or react.
These incidents occurred while he was travelling along the A54 High Street, Dene Drive, The Drumber and Dingle Lane.
In the dock on Tuesday, Rawlinson pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention, driving without insurance and driving otherwise in accordance with a licence.
Taking his admission into account, magistrates disqualified his from driving for 9 months and fined him £120.
Rawlinson must also pay a costs of £85 and a surcharge of £48.
