POLICE have shut a main road following a crash.
The A556 is currently closed on the fork with the A54 Chester-Northwich bound.
Officers remain at the scene, with a 'Police Accident' sign blocking the carriageway.
Motorists can still travel along the A54.
According to the AA, this follows a crash earlier this morning.
Traffic is understood to be 'coping well' despite the road closure.
Cheshire Police have been contacted for further information.
