A NORTHWICH man has been banned from the roads after being caught more than twice the drug-drive limit.
Bogdan Coraliu, of Navigation Road, was driving a Mercedes along Castle Street in the town when he was stopped on January 28 earlier this year.
A subsequent blood test revealed the 39-year-old had 120μg/L of Benzoylecgonine - a cocaine breakdown product - in his system.
The legal limit for this drug is 50μg/L.
Coraliu admitted drug-driving at a hearing in Chester Magistrates Court on July 5.
Taking his plea into account, the bench disqualified him from driving for three years and fined him £223.
He was also ordered to pay £85 in court costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
