A TRIAL date has been set for a Northwich woman accused of drink-driving and fleeing from the scene of a crash.
Yvonne Lawrence, of East Avenue, Rudheath, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Tuesday (June 4) to face three driving offence charges.
The court heard the 60-year-old is accused of being the driver of a Citroen C1 involved in a crash with a Renault Megane in Middlewich Road, Northwich, on November 20 last year.
The Megane suffered damage to its rear in the collision, from which Lawrence is reported to have driven off without stopping. She is also believed to have failed to report the incident to police within 24 hours.
Lawrence was also charged with drink-driving in the Citroen in Whalley Road, Northwich, on the same day.
She is alleged to have had 109 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of her breath, more than three times the limit of 35.
Lawrence denied the charges of failing to stop after a collision, failing to report a collision and drink-driving.
She will now return to court on August 7 where she will stand trial.
