FIREFIGHTERS rescued a person who had fallen in the River Weaver.
Emergency services were called to Northwich this evening (June 1) following reports that someone had fallen in the Weaver.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service crew arrived at Sandbach Drive at around 5.38pm.
Paramedics and the air ambulance were also called to the scene, with the patient taken to hospital.
A CFRS spokesperson said: "Firefighters rescued a casualty from the River Weaver at Kingsmead.
"The crew assisted paramedics with medical care before the casualty was taken to hospital.
"The air ambulance was also in attendance."
