PUBLIC access to a Northwich park's toilets is being curtailed in the evenings following anti-social behaviour.

Police have been making inquiries after hand dyers and the towel dispense at the Norley Road Playing Fields public toilets, in Cuddington, were damaged.

Following enquiries with local high schools, officers have since identified one of the youths involved – who has since been spoken to.

In her latest weekly update, Weaver and Cuddington PCSO Michelle Gillett said a 'preventative' measure is now being enforced.

PCSO Gillett said: "We have been successful in identifying a youth believed to have damaged the public toilets at Cuddington village park on Norley Road.

"A preventative decision sadly has now been made to close public access to the park toilets once families leave the facilities in the evenings."

The PCSO also added patrols had been made around the ward, in particular the Owley Wood plantation, after concerns were raised about drug activity in the area.

While all was in order on her latest patrol, PCSO Gillett said further walkabouts will take place in the area to provide reassurance to the community.

Alongside reporting concerns via 101 or the force's website, members of the public can raise issues with the PCSO during surgeries held across the ward.

The next surgery will take place at Cuddington/Sandiway Library and shops, in Mere Lane, between 11am and 12pm on Tuesday, June 25.

Further surgeries, will be held at the same time on Wednesday, June 26 (at Weaverham main shops, Northwich Road), Thursday, June 27 (in Acton Bridge parish room), and between 10am and 11am on Friday, June 28 (at Davenports Tea Room, Bartington).

Issues can also be discussed with PCSO Gillett via 07812 781 911, by emailing michelle.gillett@cheshire.police.uk or on the Weaver and Cuddington police social media platform.
