A NEW smokehouse is set to open - inside a converted American school bus.

The American Smoker arrives at Hopley House this Friday (May 24).

Set inside a vintage school bus from the US, it will offer meats cooked for 16 hours.

A staff member said: “We are so excited to announce that we will be spending our Friday and Saturday evenings at Hopley House on Nantwich Road in Middlewich!

“This is an amazing little site with lots of fantastic independent businesses onsite, a cafe, farm shop and lots more.

“From all of us, we cannot wait to see as many of you as possible down at Hopley House in the very near future!”

Everything at the American Smoker is cooked from fresh.

Customers are asked to bear in mind that they may have to wait, with some of the meats cooked in the smoker for around 16 hours.

As such, all specials will only be available until sold out as chefs can’t quickly cook more when running low.

Additionally, some of the products will bear a pink ‘smoke ring’, which is widely considered a desirable characteristic of barbecue.

The American Smoker will open from 5pm to 9pm every Friday and Saturday, parked outside the front of Hopley House

A spokesperson for the shopping village said: “We are extremely excited to welcome another business to the Hopley House Site

“They open for the first time this Friday and Saturday, it would be great to see as many of you here as possible enjoying this unique taste of America.

“The guys have fully converted an American bus into a meat smoker, offering traditional American-style smoked meats with a craft smokehouse twist. The food really is amazing.”
