POLICE have stormed a house and arrested three suspected cannabis growers.
Three men were taken into custody after Cheshire Police executed a warrant in Dee Way, Winsford, this morning.
Having arrived at 9am, officers searched the property and found a quantity of cannabis, along with a number of weapons and mobile phones.
Three men, aged 31, 37 and 47, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of cultivation of class B drugs.
Following the warrant, Inspector Dave Levins said: “Today's warrant is part of our ongoing efforts to tack the supply of illegal drugs in the Winsford area and I hope it provides reassurance to local residents.
“Drugs have a hugely detrimental impact on our communities, causing widespread misery. As such, cutting off supplies of illegal drugs and removing dealers from our streets is of paramount importance.
“As part of our efforts to bring those responsible to justice, we also need support from the local community.
“I would appeal to anyone who has any information about illegal drug activity or any other criminal activity taking place in their communities to contact us on 101, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
The suspects are currently being held in custody and are assisting Cheshire Police with their enquiries.
