A DRIVER has died in hospital after crashing into four parked cars during Winsford’s morning rush hour.
Police and paramedics were called to Delamere Street, close to Tesco Express, at around 8am on Friday, May 3 following the collision.
The driver, a 70-year-old man from Winsford, was rushed to Leighton Hospital in a serious condition, but sadly died the same day.
Three others casualties were checked over at the scene before being discharged by a paramedics from North West Ambulance Service.
Cheshire Police has confirmed officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading to the crash.
A spokesman said: “At 8.03am on Friday, May 3, police were called to a collision in Delamere Street, Winsford.
“A car collided with four parked cars. The driver, a 70-year-old man from Winsford, was taken to Leighton Hospital in a serious condition, but sadly died.
“There are ongoing enquiries to establish the circumstances, and anyone with information can contact Cheshire Police on 101 or via the website.”
