A DRIVER has been taken to hospital in a 'serious' condition after his car crashed into four parked vehicles during rush hour.

Police and paramedics were called to Delamere Street, near Tesco, at around 8am on Friday, May 3.  

The driver, a man, was attended by a senior paramedic at the scene before being taken by ambulance to Leighton Hospital.

Police described his condition as ‘serious’. Three others were checked over at the scene before being discharged.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “At 8.03am on Friday, May 3, police were called to a collision in Delamere Street, Winsford.

“A car collided with four parked cars. The driver was taken to Leighton Hospital in a serious condition.

“Anyone with information can contact Cheshire Police on 101 or via the website."

A North West Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called to an incident on Delamere Street, Winsford, at 7.59am on Friday, May 3.

“An ambulance crew and a senior paramedic in a response vehicle attended.

“One patient – a male – was taken to hospital, and three others were assessed and discharged at the scene.”
