POLICE were called to a car fire along a main road.
Brick Kiln Lane in Bostock was closed to traffic this morning as emergency services dealt with a fire at the junction with the A533.
One fire engine from the Winsford station arrived at the scene shortly before 10am.
“A hose reel jet was used by firefighters in breathing apparatus to put out a vehicle blaze,” said a Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.
“Police were also in attendance and closed the road while the incident was dealt with.”
Cheshire Police were made aware of the fire but officers say there were no suspicious circumstances.
A spokesperson for the force said: “At 10am on April 25 police were made aware of a car fire at the junction of Brick Kiln Lane and the A533 in Bostock.
“Officers attended and the road was blocked while the fire was extinguished.
“The cause of the fire is not believed to be suspicious.”
