A MOULTON man has been hit with a three-year driving ban after being caught behind the wheel while more than six times the drug limit.
James Owen, of Ravencroft Street, was driving a Vauxhall Tigra along Chester Road in Sandiway when he was caught on October 29 last year.
A blood test revealed the 41-year-old had at least 303µg/L of Benzoylecgonine, a breakdown product of cocaine, in his system.
This exceeded the legal limit of 50µg/L.
Appearing at Chester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, April 16, Owen pleaded guilty to drug-driving.
Taking his admission into account, the bench disqualified him from driving for 36 months and fined him £120.
Owen was also ordered to pay a further £120 in court costs and a £48 surcharge.
