STAFF at a drive-thru near Northwich were abused by a man and child.

Cheshire Police have investigated after receiving reports of staff being abused at the Costa Coffee in Lostock Gralam.

PCSO Philip Hambleton, of the Northwich Local Policing Unit, said the pair had made their way down the drive-thru on foot at 7.15am on Wednesday (February 21).

“Officers attended and CCTV was reviewed but they have been unable to identify those involved,” PCSO Hambleton added.

The Costa Coffee drive-thru opened at Cheshire Business Park in May 2021.

A spokesperson for the international coffee house chain said: “We are aware of a situation that took place at our Lostock Gralam drive-thru store last month and the police were called as a result.

“We do not tolerate any verbal or physical abuse to our team members, and customers must adhere to our rules and regulations when using our drive-thru lanes.”
