TWO people have been taken to hospital following a crash.

Emergency services were called out to a second two-vehicle crash on the A556 on Wednesday (March 6), this time near the junction with the A54.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service sent one engine, from the Powey Lane Station, to the scene.

Upon arrival shortly after 1pm, crews assisted police by giving first aid to two people as they waited for an ambulance.

This incident comes just hours after a crash on the A556 in Oakmere.

At around 11.35am, a silver Mini Cooper and a blue Vauxhall Cosa collided at the junction with Hogshead Lane.
