A CHARITY supporting older members of the community is calling on keen runners to help fundraise for its vital work.

Age UK Cheshire is inviting people to lace up their running shoes and take part in the Manchester 10k later this year to aid the charity.

Participants will receive a fundraising pack, which includes a specially designed running t-shirt to wear during the race on Sunday, May 26.

The charity's head of retail and local fundraising, Liam Birchall, said: "This event is an excellent opportunity for individuals to combine their passion for running with a commitment to positively impacting their community.

"By joining the Age UK Cheshire team, participants will not only challenge themselves physically but also contribute to the charity's vital work in supporting older members of our community.

"The Manchester 10k is a renowned race that attracts thousands of participants annually.

"By joining the Age UK Cheshire team, runners will not only experience the thrill of the race but also enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded individuals all running for a common cause."

The ticket fee is £20 to book the place, with a minimum expectation of £100 fundraising money for Age UK Cheshire.
