A MARKET has been forced to close due to rain damage.
Winsford Indoor Market will not open until at least next Thursday (February 15).
It comes after rain damage the electrical system, leaving the property without power.
A Cheshire West and Chester Council spokesperson said: "Winsford Market will unfortunately be closed tomorrow and Monday due to rain damage to the electrical system.
"Repairs are being treated as a top priority and traders are being kept informed.
"An update will be provided as soon as the market is able to reopen."
Councillor Nathan Pardoe added: “Cheshire West and Chester Council are working to reopen the market next week, I have asked for the repairs to be prioritised and improve the weatherproofing so this doesn't happen again.”
“The traders are being supported and there will be further updates next week.”
Winsford Market usually opens 9am to 4pm three days a week - Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
Julie Claire Schoolwear, one of the stores at the market, took to social media to make customers aware of the closure.
"Just to let everyone know that the market will be closed tomorrow and Monday due to no electricity", read the shop's post.
"Hopefully we will be back open on Thursday."
