Every week, the Northwich & Winsford Guardian publishes death notices and funeral announcements from the families of loved ones who have died.
As well as appearing in print, our death notice pages will remain online as a lasting tribute to the memory of those we have lost.

John Bate
The 57-year-old, of Water Bank Row, Northwich, died suddenly on Sunday, January 14.
John was a much-loved son, brother and uncle. The funeral service and committal took place at Vale Royal Crematorium, on Wednesday, February 7.

Florence Gorst
The 88-year-old died on January 30. Florence will be sadly missed by Michael and all her family and friends.
The funeral service will take place at Vale Royal Crematorium on Thursday, February 15, at 1pm.

Joan Thomas
Joan died peacefully on January 22 in Iddenshall Hall, Tarporley.
Funeral will be at Vale Royal Crematorium on February 20 at 1pm.

Derek Smith
The 90-year-old, of St Anns Road, Middlewich, died peacefully in hospital on Sunday, January 21.
Derek was the dearly loved husband of the late Irene Smith and a much-loved dad and grandad.
Funeral service and committal at Vale Royal Crematorium, Northwich, on Tuesday, February 13, at 11am.

Robert 'Bobby' Byers
February 12. Happy birthday Robbo. Another birthday without you. It gets harder every year it passes without you, I just wish you were here, so I could say happy birthday to you.
I miss you more and more each passing day, I send you all my love. Life is not the same, life is so very lonely without you, all I have is our very happy memories.

Edward Astbury
The 85-year-old, from Woodford Lane, Winsford, died in the Royal Stoke University Hospital on January 29.
Edward, fondly known as Eddie, was the devoted husband of the late Marjorie, loving dad of Stephen, David and Martin, loving grandad and great grandad.
Funeral service to be held at St Johns Church, Winsford, on Friday, February 16, at 2pm.

Ronald Frank Cheesbrough
The 97-year-old, formerly of Hartford and Plumley, died peacefully at Richmond Village Care Home, Nantwich, on February 1.
Ron was the beloved husband of the late Jean, a much-loved dad, grandad and great-grandad who will be sadly missed.
Funeral service will be held at Birches Crematorium on Tuesday, February 20, at noon.

John Chirgwin
The 87-year-old, of Northwich and formerly Hexham, died peacefully in Leighton Hospital on Monday, January 29.
John was the beloved husband of Mary, father of Catherine and David and father-in-law of Tonya.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, February 13, at 2.15pm at Castle Community Church following private interment.
