A NORTHWICH man has been banned from the roads after being caught drink-driving.
Leslie Ross, of Marshall Lane, was travelling along the A556 in Tabley on December 15 last year when his VW Golf was stopped.
The 43-year-old was given a breath test which revealed he had 59 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of his breath. The legal limit is 35.
Ross was charged with drink-driving and pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on January 11.
Taking his plea into account, the bench disqualified him from driving for three years and fined £461.
He was also ordered to pay court costs of £120 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a surcharge of £184.
