THERE were nearly 3,000 babies born at Leighton Hospital in 2023 – and more than 160 of the new arrivals will be featured in a special supplement in next week’s Northwich and Winsford Guardian and Knutsford Guardian.

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust collates all the baby-related data every month detailing how many babies are born – boys and girls – whether there are any sets of twins or triplets and how babies are delivered.

There are stats for the number of babies born on their due date, before their due date and after their due date as well as the how many new arrivals experienced skin to skin at birth or were breast fed within 48 hours.

The 12 monthly facts and figures are then used to produce yearly numbers for the trust.

We will be featuring more than 160 of these babies in our special Born in 2023 supplement in the Northwich and Winsford Guardian and the Knutsford Guardian, which will be in shops from Thursday, January 18.
