FIREFIGHTERS have had to be called out to a faulty gas fire in Winsford.
Two crews from the town were dispatched to an address in Weaver Street at around 9.50pm on January 3.
While at the property, the firefighters isolated the mains gas supply and extinguished the fire.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman added: "Crews were called out to a gas fire which would not turn off, with the fault potentially impacting the gas pipe.
"Firefighters quickly isolated the mains gas supply and extinguished the fire.
"A gas detector was used to take readings at the property."
