AN 'off-road' quad bike rider has been warned by police.
Davenham and Moulton Police have taken action amid reports of a person riding an off-road quad bike around the village in recent weeks.
PCSO Lee Robertson visited Moulton on Monday (November 18) and identified the suspect who had been committing the offence, catching them in the act.
The rider was then given a warning, being told that the vehicle should only be driven on roads if it had tax and insurance.
However, PCSO Robertson added that the quad bike was 'not suitable' to be used on public footpaths or the highway, and therefore can only be used in private locations – their own land such as their front or back garden.
Furthermore, as the bike only has one seat, there should only be one person riding it.
“Further action will be taken, such as the vehicle being seized, if there are further offences,” said a spokesperson for Davenham and Moulton Police.
