Multiflex Sports Christmas camp places still available

Multiflex Sports has been running school holidays camps in Cheshire for seven years, and this year they still have places available at their sports and activity days at Middlewich Town Football Club.

The scheme is free for four to 11-year-olds who receive free school meals and whose family are in receipt of low-income benefits.

The camp will run Tuesday, January 2, to Friday, January 5, 9am to 3pm, and will include football, archery, athletics, dance, dodgeball, party games, and arts and crafts.

If your child does not qualify for the funded space, paid spaces are on offer at £20 per day.

Multiflex Sports managing director, Ross Speight, said: “It is massively rewarding being able to offer a scheme like this.

“It’s about making sure families who are feeling the pinch and need support over the Christmas period get some help.

“We’re definitely seeing a bigger need for it at the moment.

“For me and my staff, we get really good feedback from parents, especially if they are struggling for childcare because they have to work over Christmas.

“They say it’s a massive help.

On average, Multiflex Sports deliver activities to more than 4,000 children through the Holiday Activity Fund in the area each year.

The camps are funded by The Department of Education and Cheshire East Council.

Ross added: “Sport can have fantastic mental and social impacts on young children.

“It boosts confidence, and improves wellbeing, both physical and mental."
