IF you haven’t bought your 2024 calendar yet, why not get one which both celebrates and funds one of Winsford’s most cherished green spaces?

The Official Winsford 2024 calendar featuring images of Winsford Town Park in now on sale.

With photos taken by local photographers, it showcases everything the park has to offer.

It gives a real flavour of the activities which took place there over the course of the year, from the Coronation Parade by Winsford schools in May, to the trail of knitted snails made by the Winsford Yarn Bombers for kids to find during the summer holidays.

Money raised for the sale will help fund both the Friends of Winsford Town Park - the group responsible for maintaining it - and St Luke’s (Cheshire) Hospice.

As a bonus, Wickes Winsford is offering a five percent discount on all in-store purchases, including kitchens and bathrooms, made at the Winsford branch in 2023, on production of the money-off coupon printed on the front cover of the calendar.

Chairman of Friends of Winsford Town Park, John Malam, said: “Town Park is a much-loved part of Winsford, and the new calendar really does justice to it.

“As with our previous calendars, we’ll be donating to St Luke’s from any profits made from the this year's sales.

“Our previous calendars have raised £2,450 for St Luke’s, and we’re hoping to be able to add to it from sales of the new one.

“We couldn’t have brought the calendar out without the generous support of local businesses who have sponsored individual months.

“We want to say a massive thank you to them all.”

The calendar is priced at £5 per copy (two for £8, with additional copies at £4 each).

Copies are available from outlets around town, including all three post offices, the town library, and Asda.

They can also be requested by phoning John and Hilary Malam (01606 863540) or online at www.fowtp.co.uk/calendar.
