A FORMER Isle of Man TT motorbike racer has denied raping a child in Northwich.

Conner Behan, of Heath Avenue, Newcastle-under-Lyme, faces two counts of raping a child under 13 years old, one of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child under 13, and three of sexual assault by touching a child under 13.

The allegations came to light after a report was made to social services by staff at a primary school, who then informed the police.

The 31-year-old pleaded not guilty to all six charges at a hearing at Chester Crown Court on Friday, November 3.

He was released on conditional bail, and must have no contact with any child under 16 years old without express permission from social services, and must not go near several locations in Northwich specified by the court. 

He will now stand trial at Chester Crown Court in the week beginnng Monday, November 4, 2024.

Behan raced motorcycles on roads and race tracks in the UK and Ireland between 2004 and 2015, becoming Irish road race super twins champion in 2014.
