A NORTHWICH woman caught nearly four times the legal driving alcohol limit the has been banned from the roads.
Sherrie Duffy, of Castle Court, was stopped while driving a silver Vauxhall Astra on Jubilee Crescent, Winnington, on Saturday, September 9.
She was breathalysed and found to have 127 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, almost four times the legal limit of 35 micrograms.
The 42-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while over the legal alcohol limit on Tuesday, October 3, at Chester Magistrates Court.
After adjournment for a pre-sentence report, she was due to be sentenced on Tuesday, October 31, but did not attend the court.
Chester magistrates issued a warrant for her arrest.
Duffy was eventually sentenced on Thursday, November 2, and was handed a three-year driving ban, beginning from October 3.
This could be reduced by 36 weeks if she completes a course by December 2025.
She must also complete up to 36 rehabilitation activity requirement days and pay a £50 fine, £120 court costs, and £112 victim surcharge.
