A CAR ended up on its roof following a crash on a residential road.

Emergency services were called to Moulton last night and found a vehicle on its roof.

Firefighters had to help free someone who was trapped inside the car, which had flipped as a result of a crash on Regent Street shortly after 8pm on Thursday (October 26).

The person was subsequently taken to hospital with a head injury.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “A single car was involved in a collision and ended up on its roof, leaving one casualty trapped inside.

“Firefighters stabilised the vehicle while ambulance staff assessed the casualty prior to being extricated.

“Firefighters working alongside ambulance personnel were able to ease the casualty onto a long board and remove them from the car through a side door.

“The crews then made the scene safe.”

Two fire engines, one each from Northwich and Winsford, attended the scene.

They were joined by North West Ambulance Service personnel.

"Patient was taken to hospital with a head injury," said a NWAS spokesperson.

Cheshire Police have also been contacted for further information.
