A MAN has been hit with a £1,300 court bill after being found in charge of a car while over the drink-drive limit.
Ryan Churm was seen to be in charge of a Vauxhall Astra in Withens Lane, Northwich, on April 8 earlier this year.
A subsequent breath test revealed the 25-year-old had 46 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of his breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35.
Churm, of Clitheroe Road, Weaverham, denied the charged at a hearing on June 2, but was found guilty after a trial at Chester Magistrates Court on October 20.
Magistrates fined him £460 and ordered him to pay costs of £650 to the Crown Prosecution Service. He must also pay a £184 surcharge.
The bench also endorsed his driving licence with 10 penalty points.
Churm's total court bill is £1,294, which he will pay in instalments, beginning on November 18.
