HOMES have been evacuated due to flooding.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service was called out to Crowton, west of Northwich, this morning amid reports of flooding.
Upon arrival, crews found three people in need of rescue at two properties on Poplar Vale, next to Crowton Brook.
Three engines (one each from Northwich, Lymm and Chester) attended the scene.
"Firefighters trained in swift water rescues were deployed to rescue those who were trapped and they were evacuated safely using rafts," said a CFRS spokesperson.
It is understood that both Ainsworth Lane and Kingsley Road are now shut due to flooding.
Later in the morning CFRS were called out to Calveley, south of Winsford, after vehicles got trapped in flood water.
Three engines (Nantwich, Chester and Winsford) arrived shortly after 11am andy found three people trapped in two vehicles.
A CFRS spokesperson added: "Swift water personnel rescued those that were trapped and they were checked over by paramedics."
