A SUSPECTED arson attack resulted in someone being taken to hospital.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to Weaverham following reports of a fire on High Street.
Two crews, one each from Northwich and Frodsham, arrived at the scene at around 7.40pm on Tuesday night (September 19) to find a kitchen up in flames.
One person who had inhaled smoke was taken to hospital, with CFRS believing the incident to be arson.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "Firefighters in breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to put out the flames and a high pressure fan to clear smoke.
"One casualty was reported as suffering from smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital.
"Following a fire investigation, several seats of fire were found and it is believed the fire was started deliberately."
Cheshire Police and North West Ambulance Service have been contacted for further information.
