Aspire  -  Believe  -  Belong

At Middlewich High School we believe that every child deserves to attend an excellent school, one that enables all students to flourish and be happy.  We are ambitious for our student who we support and encourage to Aspire, Believe and Belong.  Our staff work diligently to provide our students with inspiring teaching; a supportive and caring environment; and an enriching educational experience both inside and beyond the classroom.

Our objective is to support all of our students to achieve their academic potential through ‘Excellence in Learning’; to take pride in their personal achievements; and to help them to develop into respectful and considerate members of our community able to make a positive contribution to society.

At MHS we work hard to ensure that our students are given a wide range of experiences and cultural awareness so that they are able to fully appreciate the diversity in our society.  We teach our students that it is our differences that unite us, and that make us unique and interesting as individuals and as a community.  We have high expectations of our school community and expect our students to conduct themselves safely and respectfully at all times.

Northwich Guardian:
MHS is part of the Sir John Brunner Foundation Multi-Academy Trust along with The County High School Leftwich and Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College.  The Sir John Brunner Foundation recognizes the importance of first-class education in shaping individuals with a strong moral compass who are driven by loyalty, compassion and a strong sense of contribution to their community and culture.

At MHS every member of the staff team, whether teaching staff, support staff or Governor, is determined to ensure that the students we have the privilege of educating, have a broad curriculum experience and leave us with the best possible outcomes.

As a staff body we believe that all students irrespective of gender, ethnic origin, capability, physical impairment or religious belief should acquire, through the curriculum, the knowledge, skills and practical abilities to ensure their success in life.  It is our determination to ensure that every aspect of our practice, our planning and our curriculum, is the best it can possibly be.

Northwich Guardian:
MHS is a school where students and staff feel valued and respected.  We have an ethos of evaluation and reflection that ensures we continually challenge our thinking.  We are characterized by high expectations and ambition, demonstrating a ‘why not’ mind-set at every opportunity.  Our academic and pastoral curriculum is designed to sharpen thinking, and to encourage our students to be independent thinkers, resilient and determined.

Again this year we are delighted to have been over-subscribed which we believe shows confidence from our community in the education we provide.
