POLICE have taken action amid reports of drugs and anti-social behaviour.

PCSO Lee Robertson of Davenham and Moulton Police conducted patrols of the Clifton Drive area of Leftwich on Wednesday, August 10.

This comes following reports from residents of anti-social behaviour and possible drugs in the area.

A group of male youths were found in the location and at the same time as the reports had suggested.

As such, stop checks were requested and constable Tom Lock was sent to the scene.

The searches proved negative, with the group fully co-operating with the officers, and police say there was no cause for concern.

The night before, PCSO Robertson had patrolled Davenham, again following reports of anti-social behaviour.

The officer visited two parks, Butchers Stile Playing Fields and Davenham Park.

At the latter he came across a group of teenage boys, who were given a warning.

A spokesperson for Davenham and Moulton Police said: "These patrols are being conducted due to the reports of anti-social behaviour.

"Males were advised that they should respect the residents who live around the area.

"Rubbish should not be left in the children’s area, and if there is any issues then CCTV can be used to identify them."

No issues were encountered in Butchers Stile.

Residents with any issues relating to anti-social behaviour are asked to report this by calling the police on 101.
