TWO Northwich tumblers have been selected for the England squad after impressive performances.
Cheshire Gymnastics Club pair Alisha Evanson and Ethan Spencer will be travelling to Belgium for an international training camp at the start of August and will then compete in their first International in Portugal in October.
Evanson, 21, was crowned English tumbling champion in Telford at the English Gold Championships in Telford, while Spencer, 16, placed second.
Coach Mark Hudson said: “These are such tremendous achievements for these fantastic gymnasts after years of commitment and dedication to the sport.
“I’m looking forward to watching them further develop on to the international scene. It’s a very exciting time for the club!”
