BUDDING young artists are being encouraged to show off their creative talents in a competition at Delamere Forest.

Forestry England has launched a Zog colouring competition for young visitors this summer with the chance to win a prize bundle of 'roar-some' goodies.

Free colouring sheets can be picked up at the forest, with completed pictures to be dropped into the competition post box, located at the visitor welcome point.

The competition runs until October 31 after which a Forestry England team at Delamare will carefully judge the entries.

A Forestry England spokesman said: "With prizes for the winning picture, and two runners up, Delamere Forest invite participants to unleash their imagination and be as colourful, arty and sparkly as they like.

"Whether you prefer bright colours or subtle shades, the Zog colouring sheet is a blank canvas just waiting for your artistic touch. So, grab your colouring tools and get ready for an adventure with Zog.

"Winners will be rewarded with an incredible bundle of Zog goodies, including an adorable Zog soft toy who will become your loyal friend, and an engaging activity book to further explore the world of Zog; an extraordinary collection of goodies that any Zog fan would treasure.

"Good luck to all the aspiring artists, and may the most colourful and imaginative creations triumph."

Entrants are asked to include contact details on the back of their sheets so the Delamere Forest team can get in touch with the winners.
