A PECULIAR but popular fair is being held next month in Moulton, with a music festival to boot.
The Moulton Crow Fair, held Saturday, July 8, is a summer fair with a number of fun stalls and quirky attendants.
It is free to attend, with stalls from local businesses and community groups.
The highlight of the event is the ‘famous’ Moulton Crow’s dance, which acts as the finale to the day.
The fair will be fun for the whole family, with a range of food stalls, a tea tent, and a fun dog show.
Fun is available for those of all ages, however, with bars and cocktails available, and arena acts such as tug of war, maypole dancing, and ‘Stone the Crows’ Morris dancers.
David Wakefield, 54, the chairman of Moulton Events Committee, said: “It’s a fantastic community event and a great day out for the whole family”
This event does not end with the Crow Fair, however, as the organisers will also be hosting ‘Crowfest’ in the evening.
‘Crowfest’ is an entirely free outdoor music event, featuring local singers performing.
This year's lineup is filled with a singer ‘Christie’, ‘Mutt and Jeff’, and the fantastically named ‘The Ant Hill Mob’.
Taking place on Saturday, July 8, at Queen Elizabeth Jubilee playing field in Moulton, this is sure to be a great event for the local community.
