A WINSFORD supermarket was evacuated and forced to close as part of the store flooded due to torrential rain during a storm.
At around 7.30pm last night (Monday, June 12), people could be seen evacuating the Asda supermarket in The Drumber.
Weather warnings for thunderstorms have been in place across the weekend, with Cheshire battered by heavy rain.
An Asda spokesperson confirmed the store reopened to customers as normal this morning.
They added: “Due to adverse weather conditions yesterday, there was some flooding at our Winsford store.
“The store reopened at 7am this morning and is trading as normal.”
