A TEENAGER is searching for sponsors to help him raise £4,000 for a once-in-a-lifetime volunteering trip to Kenya.

Tobias Trevor is planning on visiting Kenya for four weeks next summer, organised by Camps International, in conjunction with Weaverham High School.

The 15-year-old would support initiatives aiming to raise the educational standards of developing communities within a rural district in Kenya, raise the living standards of developing communities and assist with ongoing wildlife conservation.

Tobias recently appeared on Radio Northwich who have offered to sponsor him, as he needs to raise £4,000 to fund the trip.

“He’s trying to make coasters to sell, so anybody who is able to display them in their shop, please get in touch,” mum Sara Cousins said.

“He’s also hoping to organise sponsored bag packing in shops, so it would be great if anyone can offer this.”

The year 10 pupil is looking for a local company which can offer to print a logo of a company on his t-shirt.

Tobias would also be willing to complete odd jobs in exchange for donations towards his goal, such as picking up shopping or cleaning cars.

Aa part of his fundraising, the teenager has organised a virtual horse race night, which will take place on April 21 at Winnington Park Recreation Club.

For £50, a business could be the sponsor for one of the races and would be featured in the programme.

For £10, representatives of the business, or others, can name a horse to run on the night and receive a prize if their horse wins.

The deadline to apply is this Sunday, April 16.

If anyone is able to help Tobias raise the money needed for his trip of a lifetime, or offer any sponsorship, email tobiaskenya24@gmail.com.
