A NORTHWICH therapist has been named the best solution-focused hypnotherapy service in the north west.

Michelle Morris won the award as part of the GHP (Global Health & Pharma) Mental Health Awards 2023.

The former teacher-turned-therapist opened Heal Hypnotherapy in 2021 initially as a side project but then growing to become a full-time job.

It was named the winner after a judging panel and research team took into consideration the ‘commitment, expertise, and innovation shown by nominees through nomination information, voting information, and results from their own extensive period of fact-checking and research’.

An official public announcement will be taking place on the Global Health & Pharma website in April.

Heal Hypnotherapy service began as a side project in 2021 while Michelle was supporting film and TV companies navigate their commitments around Covid to ensure content could still be made safely.

Michelle also supported cast and crew members as a mental health first aider.

Since September 2022, Heal Hypnotherapy has become a full-time commitment and a purpose therapy build studio was opened in Castle, Northwich.

“I’ve seen clients with a range of issues such as stress, anxiety, addictions, self-esteem issues and lack of confidence,” Michelle said.

“I have a passion for helping others.

“I’ve recently been trained in a new method of therapy by Men Should Talk, Manchester, and began seeing many more male clients in January 2023.

“As a mother to two teenage sons, I feel it is vital that the new generation is equipped with the skills and techniques needed to ensure their emotional wellbeing.

“As a therapist, I’m empathic and caring.

“I have navigated mental ill-health myself and have recovered.

“My route into therapy is informed by more than twenty years of teaching and lecturing experiences and my route into full time therapy really began to take off when my Young Minds Matter Project was part of the submission from The University of Salford to The Guardian University Awards 2020.

“We were runners up.”
