WORLD Book Day is just around the corner – Thursday, March 2 – but don’t worry if you’ve not got your child’s costume yet.

Last year’s event was a huge success with youngsters across Mid Cheshire dressing up as Harry Potter, Disney princesses and villains and animated heroes.

We’ve put together a selection of some of our favourite costumes from last year to provide a little bit of inspiration if you still need to find a costume.

Keep a lookout on World Book Day on our website and across our social media, as we will be asking you to share photos of your children dressed as their favourite literary character.

They will feature in an online round up of photos and might appear in the Northwich and Guardian or the Knutsford Guardian.
