WORLD Book Day is just around the corner – Thursday, March 2 – but don’t worry if you’ve not got your child’s costume yet.
Last year’s event was a huge success with youngsters across Mid Cheshire dressing up as Harry Potter, Disney princesses and villains and animated heroes.
We’ve put together a selection of some of our favourite costumes from last year to provide a little bit of inspiration if you still need to find a costume.
Keep a lookout on World Book Day on our website and across our social media, as we will be asking you to share photos of your children dressed as their favourite literary character.
They will feature in an online round up of photos and might appear in the Northwich and Guardian or the Knutsford Guardian.

Amelia Sayle at Barnton Nursery CP School was Alice in Wonderland
Ben from Gangsta Granny aka Kian Stanbank from Victoria Road Primary School
Cousins Connor Ellis-Toon and Cameron Marsden went to Hartford Primary School as The Karate Kid
Eliza-Grace Shaw's costume was inspired by Alice in Wonderland. She went to St Chad's CE Primary School
Ellie Fox spent the day at Mrs Twitt
Ethan Sheldrick was Harry Potter for the day at Lostock Gralam Primary School
George, Matilda and Lilia Dunne from Barnton Community Nursery and Primary School went as Harry Potter, Dorothy and Mary Poppins
Harley Cross went to Weaverham Primary Academy as The Cat in the Hat
Henry Reynolds, at Weaverham Primary Academy, and Sapphire Reynolds, at Little Bears Pre-School, were The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Elmer
Kaylen Hampshire was Billionaire Boy at Manor Park Primary, Knutsford
Peter Rabbit was the inspiration for Aston Shea McManus at Great Budworth CE Primary School
Sunrise Nursery Over and Pre School in Winsford welcomed Blake Hardman and his sister Aylah-Kelly as Buzz Lightyear and Jessie from Toy Story
Rupert Bentham enjoyed being Zog at Kids' Country Day Nursery, Over Peover
