A SPECIAL recruitment event is taking place for those interested in community nursing.

The Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP) is hosting a drop-in session in Winsford to recruit for various roles.

The community nursing roles are based in Northwich, Winsford, Crewe, Nantwich, Alsager and Sandbach.

Registered nurses and nurse associates are being encouraged to come along to the event at the Dene Drive Primary Care Centre on Friday, February 10.

From 11am to 3pm, those attending can find out more about the responsibilities of a community nurse, which includes providing nursing care for adults who may have complex health, wound and palliative care needs in their own homes.

A CCICP spokeswoman said: "We are looking for registered nurses or nurse associates who are enthusiastic about their work and possesses both clinical and digital skills.

"Applicants will need to be able to work independently and possess good time management and organisational skills.

"A full, UK driving license and use of a car are also essential for the community nurse role.

"Successful applicants will join a supportive and passionate team of community nurses, dedicated to maximising patient independence, preventing hospital admission, and facilitating safe and timely discharge from hospital.

"Community nurses can also expect a generous holiday allowance starting at 27 days annual leave per year, access to a gold standard NHS pension scheme, a generous fuel allowance, NHS discounts, and comprehensive occupational health and wellbeing support, among many other benefits."
