THERE are just a few more days for community groups in Winsford to put forward applications to be in with the chance of getting a grant to support their projects.

Following the success of Winsford Decides 2021, Winsford Town Council has launched Winsford Decides 2023, where residents decide how £25,000 should be spent.

Any local community, voluntary or non-profit organisation can apply to this fund – even informal groups, provided they are located in Winsford.

Funding of £250 to £5,000 is available to put each idea into action.

The deadline for applications is Friday, February 3

A voting event will take place on Thursday, February 23 at 6.30pm at Winsford Academy.

Those in attendance will then vote on all the applications presented and the winners will be announced at the end.

Cllr Joanne Moorcroft, mayor of Winsford, said: "Winsford Decides is back for another year and will put Winsford residents in the driving seat to choose which community projects should be funded to benefit our town.

"I'm looking forward to seeing all the fantastic community groups that come forward and am excited to see what people choose to fund."
