A CHARITY tractor run will be taking place next month to celebrate a special milestone.

Stretton YFC will be turning 80 years old on February 12 which is when the special event will take place.

The tractor run will set off from The Antrobus Arms shortly after 12pm on the day and will head through Antrobus, Arley, Appleton, Stretton, Hatton, Whitley and, Little Leigh.

And the team are hoping people will join them, whether that is bringing a tractor along or watching along the route.

A fundraising page has been created for the event and all money will be split between Stretton YFC and the Multiple System Atrophy Trust – which supports people affected by the disease which is a progressive neurological disorder that affects adults men and women.

You can find the link on Stretton YFC’s Facebook page along with more information about the tractor run.

Cheshire YFC, including Stretton YFC, is led by young people for young farmers up to the age of 30.

From stock-judging to sport, quizzing to debating, there is something for everyone and plenty of new things to learn.

Since it was launched 80 years ago, the core values remain the same - providing it’s members with ‘a wealth of new experiences and opportunities for personal development and achievement, a much needed social and educational network and a safe environment for activities’.
