POLICE officers in Middlewich have stepped up patrols after receiving numerous reports of youths trying to gain access to the former Jack’s supermarket.
Just over a year ago the discount store announced it would be closing, with many residents saying they would miss the store and its staff.
Now the vacant building is attracting youths who have been seen trying to enter it.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “Over recent weeks, officers have received reports of a number of youths entering a disused supermarket on Southway, Middlewich.
“Patrols have been stepped up in the area and anyone with any information should contact Cheshire Police online quoting IML 1447538.”
