A MEMORIAL event remembering those who lost their lives during the pandemic is taking place in Middlewich later this month.
On December 20, Covid19FamiliesUK will be hosting its annual candlelight4christmas memorial event to honour lost loved ones.
The memorial, followed by a service of remembrance, will be held in St Michael and All Angels Church, starting at 5.30pm.
Covid19FamiliesUK, is a national network of support groups for anyone bereaved during the pandemic.
It has regional groups which helped connect bereaved people with others in their own communities, providing ‘friendship, support and a common understanding’.
The groups host memorial and commemoration events and are entirely self-funded.
Created by Deborah Lewis, shortly after her own father passed away in April 2020, Covid19FamiliesUK also ensures 'the bereaved are always at the forefront of memorial events that mark key milestone dates during the pandemic'.
