North West Counties results: Northwich Vics, Winsford United, Barnton

The 2-2 draw sees Vics drop to fifth in the North West Counties League Premier Division, with Heys remaining one place behind.

Dudley's 82nd-minute goal secured the share of the spoils, while he earned the penalty that Ryan Jackson fired home to put Vics ahead early doors.

Steve Wilkes' side also missed a penalty at 2-1 when the hosts were reduced to 10 men.

The opening goal came after Dudley was clattered in the head by an elbow and Ryan Jackson made no mistake from the spot, firing low and hard to the bottom left in the second minute.

Heys got back on level terms with the first of two goals on the end of crosses from Dylan Fitzgerald in the 33rd minute.

At the 60-minute mark Fitzgerald was Johnny-on-the-spot again for 2-1 but then came some huge drama.

Kuda Chingwaro was brought down in the box, Heys' Brad Sixsmith was sent off and the penalty attempt hit the crossbar.

But Dudley was in the right place to get the eventual equaliser as he flashed home a rebound after the home keeper made a fine save.

Vics host 19th-placed Longridge Town on Wednesday and then Barnoldswick Town in the third round of the Macron Cup next Saturday.

Meanwhile, Winsford United bagged a 2-0 home win against Irlam.

Blues, 12th in the Premier Division, netted both goals in the first half.

Nathan Cotterell put them ahead in the ninth minute and Adam Barlow's 41st-minute effort sent Blues into the changing rooms happy at the break.

Thirteenth-placed Charnock Richard will be the visitors to Barton Stadium on Monday night and then Winsford will entertain ninth-placed Bury next Saturday.

In First Division South, Barnton fell 2-0 at Stafford Town.

Again both goals came in the opening stanza.

The Villagers were on the back foot from the first minute as Jack Grimshaw opened the scoring.

Reece Mason's goal in the first minute of injury time at the end of the first period was a sickener for Barnton, who visit second-placed Wythenshaw Amateurs on Tuesday.
