A MAN has been fined after drunkenly butting into a police incident in Northwich and telling officers repeatedly to 'f*** off'.

Connor Hall, from Winsford, though currently of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly at Chester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, November 29.

Prosecutor, Georgia Leyland, described how on Sunday, November 13, Hall had approached police officers who were dealing with another incident at around 3.15am in High Street, Northwich.

Police asked Hall to leave the area and stop swearing, but Hall refused.

He then told officers repeatedly to ‘f*** off', ignoring several warnings, and was subsequently arrested.

Hall is currently under a community order after being convicted of displaying threatening behaviour and assaulting an emergency worker.

He has further previous convictions for both common assault and assaulting an emergency worker.

Richard Sibeon, defending, said: “Mr Hall has been engaging well with the probation service in relation to his current community order, and he has been in work until very recently, when he lost his job after injuring his arm."

Taking his prompt guilty plea into account, magistrates sentenced Hall to a fine of £40.

He was also ordered to pay costs of £120, and a surcharge of £16.

When handing down the sentence, chairman of magistrates, John Lawson, said: "Drink is clearly an issue for you at this point in time.

"You must continue to engage fully with the probation service."
